Custom-fit protection for sports and for night-time grinding.
Whether your child plays soccer, basketball, hockey, or any contact sport, a knock to the mouth can chip a tooth, knock one out, or injure the jaw. A custom mouthguard cushions that impact. It also lets your child breathe and speak more easily than a bulky boil-and-bite guard, which means they are far more likely to actually wear it.
Teeth grinding, known as bruxism, is common in children and often happens during sleep. Over time it can wear down enamel, chip teeth, and cause jaw soreness or headaches. A night guard protects the teeth while your child sleeps. Grinding can also be linked to how a child breathes at night, so if there is snoring or mouth breathing alongside it, we may suggest an airway assessment.
Getting Fitted We take a quick impression or digital scan, have the guard made to fit, and check it at a short follow-up visit. We show your child how to wear, clean, and store it, and we check the fit at routine visits as their mouth grows.
Yes. A custom guard is moulded to your child’s teeth, so it stays in place, is easier to breathe and talk in, and protects more of the mouth. Children are also much more likely to keep wearing it.
Possibly. A night guard protects the enamel while your child sleeps. We check what is causing the grinding first, since it can be linked to bite or breathing.
It depends on wear and on how fast your child is growing. We check the fit at routine visits and remake it when it is outgrown.
Rinse it after every use, brush it gently with a toothbrush, and store it dry in its case. Keep it out of hot water and away from direct sun.
